Complete Midwifery Care: Birthing Guidance and Support

Home birth isn't the a new trend, it's a time-honored tradition.

Would you like the comfort of delivering your child in your home? Would you like your family, other children or friends to be in attendance at your birth? Would you like a different experience than your last birth? Have you considered a home birth?

The Home Birth package includes a free consultation, all prenatal visits, nutrition and supplement counseling, birth tub rental (if desired), labor and delivery, water birth, a thorough newborn exam, breastfeeding help, 3 postpartum home visits (and more, if necessary or desired), a 6 week postpartum visit and all relevant paperwork for obtaining a birth certificate and social security card. I also have privileges at a local community birth center if your preference is to work with me and have a birth center birth.

I only take 2-3 clients per month. Keeping my client load small allows for more attentive, personalized care, decreases my chance of having two clients in labor at once and gives you a more rested and alert midwife on the day of your birth!

Prenatal Care Services and Monitrice Support

You know what you want. You appreciate not being treated like a number at an office that you just found in your insurance brochure. Maybe you would like midwife-provided prenatal care, but you'd like to continue with your planned hospital birth. You like having autonomy in your healthcare and you appreciate being fully informed about the choices you have available to you. You'd like a natural approach to this amazing time of pregnancy. My Holistic Prenatal Care package is designed for you.

Our prenatal visits together take 45 - 60 minutes wherein we will discuss normal developmental pregnancy milestones, using food as medicine and discuss standard testings during the course of your normal, low risk pregnancy. Ask your questions, get your answers and make your decisions about the care you deserve. The Prenatal Care Service includes an option for me to attend your planned hospital birth as your Monitrice.

Expectant Couple

Labor and Birth: Monitrice Support

Do you want to labor at home as long as possible before going to the hospital, birth center or calling your midwife? The Monitrice Support package may be just what you're looking for.

The Monitrice Support Package consists of 2-3 prenatal visits in your home or at my office, discussion of your labor support needs, birth plan preparation and preferences based on birth location of your choice.

I will be available on-call, 24/7 for two weeks before and two weeks after your due date and provide compassionate, dedicated, experienced labor support at home or in the hospital during your active labor period.

As a Licensed Midwife, I am able to provide clinical care in the home before your Home Birth team arrives or you depart for the hospital or birth center. As your Monitrice, you get the best of both worlds. Care may include baby monitoring, cervical exams, as determined/desired between midwife and birthing person. 1-2 postpartum visits that include breastfeeding support round out your full Monitrice Care support plan. I also use another fully qualified, experienced Licensed Midwife as a backup support Monitrice.

At Home Inseminations

Did you know that you didn't have to already have a baby on the way to have a midwife? Midwives are uniquely qualified to assist you in an at-home insemination. I have faced some of my own fertility challenges, so helping others to grow their families is a passion of mine. You'll get a free 30 minute phone or video consultation before we get started.

Prenatal Testing

I am happy to provide you with some of the most up-to-date and accurate non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), the Harmony and Panorama prenatal blood tests. With NIPT testing, we can take a blood sample as early as 10 weeks gestation. The test looks at fragments of your baby’s DNA in your blood to provide accurate information about the likelihood for the most common chromosomal conditions. It can also identify the sex of your baby. This testing is often covered by your insurance.
